LIFE...are we living it??

This quaetion has long haunted me and post lage raho munnabhai... this issue has again rejuvenated. crowd, noise, pollution, the unending race after time,JEE,CAT,GRE, the hunhub the tension ...where is the life that was supposed to be gone??The question is that chasing after our ever changing dreams have we stopped enjoying the journey.
Just a few days I was returning back from home. There is a 1.5 km stretch that I have to walk home. The city was just waking up.As I waking at my own leisurly pace,I could see the occasional vehicles passing by.All sorts of people - new techies going for their work in company cabs, parents dropping their children to school, school buses. It was like my chain of thought was being instigated by the woosh of the passing of vehicles. An occasional 16 something too passed by pushing their scotteretes to its limits.reminded me of myself a years back though I owned a good old Bajaj priya :).
All this was very good. But the saddest part was that I could not find a single smile on any face.It started out as a casual observation but even after carefully looking at each face passing by me in fast forward motion(likr our lives),I could not find even one smile. It seemed all of their were contorted into some weird expression that was incomprehensible to me.Some faces which I could not see were buried in text books. Is this what we have bargained for??and you want to know the weirdest part of all-the only face that shone of happiness.A laborer(thats my guess) goin on a batterd ATLAS in one of the shabbier set of clothes you will see humming some hindi song..
Is all hope lost...not yet..not yet..

WHAT IS BEING AN IITian

Today, I am transgessing my moral limitaions to write about something that is much bigger than me and obviously my human capabilities.Something that has always intrigued me since my first year.

WHO IS AN IITian??
Hailed as the ambassadors as Indian supremacy in technological information and brain power..Is it just another hype in the mindsets of people and media OR are WE DIFFERENT??

Three years into it..and slowly a realisation has come in..
there is a ring in something everything even an average IITiann does.He is mind boggling to the normal eye.
Nd of course he is the biggest geek on the planet..they have the ability to can do..nuthin seems to be out of their reach...

And again I am not talking about academics...be it in any field..the image of an IITian bein a lean thin person is no longer true(though I am one)..Sports , athlectics, even comp games ...once they set their eyes on something, u can feel a sort of madness in them to defy all boundries..

Thr is one more flavor to the whole exp.erience. Since IITs are national institutes you get a whole breed of people living around you..a mix which you will rarely found anyehr lese in india...

but the greatest thing is a sense of realisation about your strengths and weaknesses..If thr is one thing that I can surely learnt in my three years..this is the one. Studying here has been a revelation..You realise wat you are good at..and humbled by your weaknesses..(that is normal though) ..
But the greatest thing is the feeling of awareness. Let me elaborate..you think you are completely superb in something ,be it a trivial thing like playing a game or reading novels...but here you will find tens of ppl eho are more fascinating and classy than you in that very field. "The point is even the invincible can be overwhelmed"
...and this I think is the underlying ethos of being an IITian

The views are authors personal views and not facts. They should also be not interpreted as self-pompousness as as I always been an ordianry person amon extra-ordinary friends..

I have a habit of writing a line or two here and there whenever I feel like...I am givin them here with contexts...(they were on my orkut profile)..

My feelings on leaving bnglr(lived thr for 2 months)

jo apna samjha tha paraya ho gayaa..

jo gharaunda banaya tha woh ab ujad gaya...

udaa woh panchi waapas apni jadoon ki oor,,,use kya pata woh jadeein bhi ab parayi hoon gayi...

-------------------------------------

Simple desire to be different

sabne kuch kiya hai mujhe kuch karna hai...

insaanoon ki is bheed mein kuch alag dikhna hai

-------------------------------------

My views about the whole idea of working for career, grade etc..

The tests of time have yet again begun..

Fight I have to w/o rhyme and reason.

------------------------------------

ALWAYS BEEN MY PRINCIPLE OF LIFE

Abiding by the rules that I made for life,

Standing tall in every tide,

Working for high and expectng low..

That has always been my principle for life.

last day at bangalore...

yet another post in 2 days...hmmmph..no work to do...so here I am again...
The not-so-famous trio of abhinav rai, ayush khandelwal and rohan dayal at DRDO bnglr has finally going to meet its end...and I am the last survivor of this fellowship...
Aksin went last week and abhinav today in the morning and i am left alone to brood over the matter on my own....

Not so much to write I guess but sure the days will be never like this again..bahut masti kari hum logon ne...and we came to know each other beneath our masks..the real us...

This post was on a more personal note...
this is rohan signing out of RDARAK inc. for the final time
RD for rohan dayal
AR for abianv rai
AK for ayush khandelwal...

last night at bangalore!!

Gosh!! Another chapter of my life is over!!
Finally lookin over the hill is fourth year,my last year at college..but that story desrves another post

This is about Bangalore....a city where it is 'happening' (you can read it as ' IT is happening ' too).
Life at bangalore is a completely different picture....people comin in goin out....a horde of people chasin there dreams and most of goin no where....just sittin in another cunbicle in just another office...is this what life has in store for me..I hope not!!

Again I am digressing from the topic...Bnglr has a culture of its own.People earning and living with style..I have lived in delhi..been to munbai and chandigarh...but here I felt something different here..Normal people getting their hair streaked brown....shops for esp. candies..and of course the rock culture out here.Guys of my age suited in weird clothes with weird addons to their hair and beard patterns unknown to a person like me...guess that is why they say Bnglr rocks.

Another intersting thing is the mix of tradition and modernity out here..I have found ppl of my age followin the west and the south(east) in this case quite religiously..wat the hell yeaterday only wen i was eatin out at garuda in front of me were the perfect examples of hotNhappenin and beside me was an aunty sittin in a most tradtional attire...

On a personal level, this trng has been an eye opener..guess it was my first time facing the world on my own having been lived all my life in a protective bubble first of my parents and then of my institute...guess wat..only 1 year left for the bubble to meet its final end...

chalo enough for today!!
KUDOS BANGALORE!!

LIFE

Riding on the road of life I was,
On the steed of my own pride, so daunting I was,
Everything was small and easy, so Strong I was,
Building castles and desraying them in a jiffy,so Fearless I was,
A fool in delusion, that's what I really was...

SUPERHEROES

I guess I have been always different in this sense. When my friends were busy bullying and doing other 'mature' stuff, I was still stuck on super heroes. It could anything from the gr8 batman, the amazing spiderman to the pityful nagraj. Now at the age of 20 , this craving is still strong, infact it is kicking.
maybe it is because I love super heroism to the core - just the idea to work urself to the grind to do vrythin that u think was not possible ,to pull something out of the magic bag to work tirelessly and surprise others;
maybe thats what super heroes are all about,an extension of our own psyche - in the core is the ideoligy that what you believe is what you can do ;
this is what I would say is super heroism ,when u see a sania mirza beating a kuznutsova or a kaif pullin a win for india ;
acts which cannot be justified by limiting urdelf to the constraints of normality these are the acts that stay with you
life is so normal we need super heroes
